Common questions
How do we pair? One of you opens the app and sends the six-character invite code shown on the pairing screen. The other types it in. That's it — from then on both phones share the same star.
How do I add the widget? Long-press an empty spot on your home screen → Widgets → İkimiz, and drag it into place. The app can also offer to place it for you. Tap the star on the widget to send a light without opening the app.
My partner's light arrived late. While the app is closed, the widget refreshes about every 15 minutes (Android decides the exact moment to save battery). Opening the app updates everything instantly. Also check that notifications for İkimiz are turned on and that battery saver isn't restricting the app.
What is a sealed light? A light or note that stays closed until a moment you choose — a morning surprise, an anniversary, the night before you meet. Your partner sees that something is waiting, but not what, until it opens. Sealed lights are part of Premium.
How does the distance work? Both of you have to turn on "Share approximate distance" in Settings. The app then shares a location rounded to about 10 km, only while it is open, and shows how far apart you are. Your partner never sees your location. Turn it off any time and your stored location is deleted.
Does one subscription really cover both of us? Yes. One person subscribes and both accounts get Premium. You do not need two subscriptions.
How do I cancel? Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → İkimiz → Cancel. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
I got a new phone. On your old phone open Settings → Move to a new phone to get a one-time code. On the new phone install İkimiz, tap "Moving from another phone?" and type the code within 15 minutes. Your pairing and your sky come with you.
What happens if we unpair? All shared moments — lights, notes, drawings, sealed lights, your sky — are permanently deleted from the server for both of you. This cannot be undone.
