Privacy Policy

İkimiz: Couple Widget ("İkimiz", "the app", "we", "us") is published by Hugo Software. This policy explains exactly what the app collects, why, and what we never touch.

The short version

• We collect the minimum needed to keep two paired phones in sync: a display name and the things you deliberately send to your partner.
• No e-mail address, no password. Your account lives on your phone.
• There is no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK and no crash-reporting SDK in this app. No third-party trackers of any kind. The app talks only to our own server.
• Location is optional and approximate. Only if you turn on "Share approximate distance", the app reads your approximate (not precise) location while it is open, rounds it to about 10 km, and our server uses it only to calculate the distance between you and your partner. Your partner sees the distance, never your location. It is never collected in the background.
• We never collect your contacts, photos, camera, microphone or advertising identifiers.
• We never sell or share your data with third parties.

What we collect

Account information. A display name you choose and, if your phone provides it, your time zone (so your partner can see your local time on their widget). Your account is identified only by a random account ID and a random access token stored on your phone. We do not ask for an e-mail address.

Pairing information. The link between your account and your partner's, the invite code used to create it, and — if you set them — the date you got together and the date of your next time together. Both partners can see and change these dates.

Shared content. Everything you deliberately send to your partner is stored so it can be delivered and shown in your shared sky: your current status (activity and feeling), lights, short text notes (up to 280 characters), drawings (stored as coordinates of the lines you drew), and sealed lights together with the time they should open. Until that time a sealed light's content is hidden from your partner.

Approximate distance (optional). If — and only while — you turn on distance sharing, we store your approximate coordinates rounded to 0.1° (about 10 km) and the time they were taken. Turning it off deletes them immediately. The distance is shown only when both partners have turned it on.

Purchase information. If you subscribe, the plan you chose and the purchase token Google Play gives the app, so premium can be unlocked for both of you.

Technical data. A randomly generated access token for each signed-in device (stored in hashed form on our server), a one-time move code if you request one (valid for 15 minutes), and the time your account was last active.

On your phone

The home-screen widget keeps a small copy of your shared data on your phone so it can show it without opening the app, and refreshes it from our server about every 15 minutes. If you enable it, a silent notification can show your partner's status on your lock screen. Notifications and vibrations can be turned off in the app's settings.

What we do not collect

Precise or background location, contacts, photos or media library, camera or microphone input, calendar, call or message logs, browsing history, advertising identifiers, and device fingerprints.

Payments

Subscriptions are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see or receive your card number, billing address, or any payment credentials. We receive only an opaque purchase token and the plan you chose, which we use to unlock premium features for both partners of a couple.

Where your data is stored

On our own server hosted in Germany (Hetzner Online GmbH). Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. We do not use third-party cloud analytics, advertising or profiling services.

How long we keep it

• Shared moments are kept while you remain paired. When either partner unpairs, all shared moments of that couple are permanently deleted from our server immediately.
• Approximate location is deleted as soon as you turn distance sharing off.
• Account data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account); this permanently removes your account, your pairing and your shared sky. See also the Account & Data Deletion page.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Write to us and we will act on your request within 30 days.

Children

İkimiz is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
